With roots from
LA’s early-90’s rave scene, this enterprising
b-girl engaged her passion for dance music upon touch-down
in the house music mecca of San Francisco in 1995, where
her pioneering work in radio began. Ms.E’s name became
synonymous with groovy beats when she introduced new evolutions
in DJ culture to the airwaves of the Bay Area on KUSF 90.3,
and soon launched the premier drum & bass/breakbeat
showcase FUTURE BREAKS FM with DJs Push & Gabe Real.

obsession for jungle music and inspired to rock dancefloors
like the DJ heroes & heroines she looked up to, Ms.E
joined ladies dMarie & Qzen in starting the weekly club
EKLEKTIC in 1997. With resident DJs Star Eyes & Sage,
it quickly became known and loved worldwide as the leading
drum & bass vibe on the West Coast, and also became
Ms.E’s platform to hone in on her skills and her sound.
When HEKTIC was created as Eklektic’s joint home of
breakbeat funk, she was asked to represent as a resident
alongside DJs Felix the Dog, Clockwork and later, Lee Coombs.
Since Eklektic’s reign, Ms.E went on to perform alongside
such notable talent as Adam Freeland, BLIM, Craze, Danny
McMillan, Elite Force, Freestylers, Jondi & Spesh, Krafty
Kuts, LTJ Bukem, Meat Katie, Rap, Seiji, Storm, Tipper,
etc!

having pushed its presence worldwide by producing syndicated
public radio shows and a legacy of Internet transmissions.
She’s been featured on the airwaves from Seattle to
New York as well as London’s top dance station KISS
100. Recognized as an ambassador for the West Coast music
scene as well as the significant sound of breakbeat in today’s
modern music culture, Emily is frequently has been called
upon as a spokeswoman for television shows like Audiofile
on TechTV as well as documentary films like Concentric Beats
and industry conferences like CMJ and WMC. A strong advocate
of supporting women artists and professionals in the music
& media industry, she’s developing her organization
ELECTRIC W.O.M.B. into an incubator that encourages the
formation and development of new ideas that inspire women
to be leaders in all aspects of creative business.
A visionary 21st
Century player thriving on the forward curve of music and
culture, Emily worked with the team at the globally-respected
independent music magazine XLR8R from 2001-2003. Among other
duties, she coordinated the magazine’s presence at
events around the world and helped them illustrate their
focus on emerging sounds of electronic, hip-hop and indie
music by producing their collectible CD compilation series
INCITE. She is now designing the musical direction on specific
projects for her new company BEATSYNC, a dedicated music
licensing service for the film, TV and media industries.
With world travel
and music production a growing priority for this world-class

"Future Breakstress Ms. E is definitely one of
the best DJs this city has to offer...her mixes are spot
on and her programming proof positive of her impeccable
taste in tracks. Each time she spins for a completely different
crowd, and each time she has everyone on the dance floor
eating out of the palm of her hand. What's especially great
about Emily is the way she [engages] the crowd..."
- SF EXAMINER
"Pioneering
drum&bass radio in SF, Ms.E of Future Breaks FM is so
flirty and grooves so hard behind the decks, she creates
an amazing energy and connection with the dancers. Ms.E
is an Eklektic favorite; check her and her posse in full
effect." - GROUNDSCORE
"One
of the best Nu-School/electro breaks sets the Labrats have
ever heard, Ms.E had the studio rumbling with sub-bass frequencies.
Neighborhood dogs became uncomfortable under the sonic onslaught
that clocked in at over 3 hours. You can check her out raising
ruckus all over the San Andreas fault." - DUBLAB
"RESPECT!
You rock! You walk your talk...Thank you for manifesting
a lively and loving and funky musical vision. Please know
how much your strong, artistic + technical, feminine presence
uplifts and impresses with a good vibe for youthful minds."
