Cristy Thom:: December 2003 Diva of the Month :: |
 |
Congratulations
to Cristy Thom, of Los Angeles, CA, our "Diva of the
Month" for December 2003! Cristy
actively pursues her art in many different formats.
Cristy
Thom is an embodiment of contemporary art. It is through painting
that she can communicate with her environment in an intellectual
and abstract way. Cristy graduated with a BFA from Otis College
of Art and Design as one of the most ambitious and prolific
painters in her class. She defined her own style has refined
that style into a compelling body of work in the years since
college. Learn
more by checking out her bio!
Cristy's
paintings are represented by Spiller Vincenty Gallery, in
Jacksonville, FL and Gallery Horizon, in Santa Fe, NM. See
Cristy's work by visiting
her online gallery!
Cristy's
new clothing company, "Broken" features Cristy's
paintings on t-shirts. Part of the $ made clothing company
goes to her charity, a non-profit where sexually abused children
and their families can go for help. The charity is called
"The Rachel Ward Foundation". Find
out more in Cristy's interview! |

Quote of the Month :: |
Women are
being considered as candidates for Vice President of the United States
because it is the worst job in America. It's amazing that men will take
it. A job with real power is First Lady. I'd be willing to run for that.
As far as the men who are running for President are concerned, they
aren't even people I would date.
-- Nora Ephron , from her San Francisco lecture, November 4, 1983
