Dear Friends of United Divas,
    
With United Divas’ 3rd year anniversary upon us, we have much to celebrate. Twenty-nine accomplished women have been featured as divas of the month and we now have over 3000 members through our web site. A third year anniversary celebration is planned for late May 2006 in Hollywood, CA. This is our first official call for artists to volunteer for this event. Please email referrals@uniteddivas.com with "Talent" as the Subject with a description of what you would like to do and links to your work online.

As part of the anniversary celebration we will have an auction on the web site via ebay throughout the month of May to raise money for the scholarship fund for mothers from low income families in the United States to continue their education in the arts.
Please consider donating a work of art, service or related item to the auction. Contact referrals@uniteddivas.com with "Auction" as the Subject and a description &/or photo if applicable of what you would like to donate if you are interested in donating an artwork, service or a limited edition product for auction.

Our plan for the coming year is to dramatically increase the level of the scholarship fund. In order to do this we will be approaching potential sponsors, donors and artists willing to help increase the awareness of our efforts. Please send us names and contact information for such folks whom you know for us to follow up with to referrals@uniteddivas.com with "Sponsors" as the subject.

The more money we have in the scholarship fund when we approach, the better our chances of bringing them on board. Success does indeed lead to more success. So we are asking you now to contribute $10 as part of this seed money. If everyone gives $10.00, (or more if you can), we will have enough to leverage a great deal more. You can click the MAKE A DONATION link on the right to make a tax deuctable donation via paypal, or you can mail a a check payable to United Divas Inc, c/o S.L. Ramsey, 603 Canvasback Ct, Vacaville, CA 90019. Do not send cash.

As our sorority of multi media artists grows, we hope to use our collective expertise to provide support for new and emerging women artists. To this end we plan to create a database of artists by media categories, who are each willing to serve as a mentor to a new artist, on request. This would consist of providing support, encouragement and constructive critiques via periodic e-mail contact. If you are willing to be included in this new venture, please let us know. Email a description of your expertise and what type of artist/mentor specialty you wish to offer your services for to referrals@uniteddivas.com with "Artist Mentor" as the subject.
