She

everytime you say her name
a thousand daggers at my heart
and everytime you see her face
a reminder of how we’re far apart
everytime you think her thought
a fire rages out within
and everytime you feel her touch
I recall the hell I’m living in
everytime you smile at her
a smile you never offered me
and everytime you cry her tears
you forget how we are meant to be
everytime you hold her hand
my lonely heart weeps tears of love
and everytime you touch her soul
my empty soul looks up above
everytime you hear her pain
a deaf ear to my hurtful woes
and everytime you’re close to her
the aching distance between us shows
everytime you speak her words
silence burns a hole through me
and everytime you sigh her sighs
she is who I long to be
