***ARTIST BIO:

Born and raised in the South, ReelGrace spent her childhood immersed in the performing arts. In the Southern tradition, she sang in church choirs every Wednesday and twice on Sunday. When she was not singing at church or in school choirs, she could be found at the local Performing Arts Center dancing, acting, and, of course, singing. Her natural talent and passion for the stage regularly earned her leading roles as well as behind-the-scenes management.

Her dedication to music runs very deep. She formally studied dance – tap, jazz, and ballet – for twelve years. Even though a child, her talent and excellence allowed her to study and perform with such legends as the Tulsa Ballet and gospel composer Jester Hairston to mention a few. When she moved to Beverly Hills to attend high school her blend of talent and drive, along with her extensive experience, began to pay off.

Beverly Hills High School, the nation’s premier performing arts school, was the perfect arena for ReelGrace. She was selected for the Madrigal Singers, an elite vocal ensemble directed by Joel Pressman, with whom she toured California, New Mexico, Arizona, the Southern U.S., Hawaii, and New Zealand. She also directed and performed in plays and musicals that received nationwide acclaim. She graduated with high honors (#1 Performing Arts Student) and was the first recipient of the Performing Arts Scholarship.

ReelGrace continued to study music and theatre at Whittier College, an internationally acclaimed, prestigious liberal arts college in Southern California. She won numerous scholarships in Theatre and Vocal Performance. The four years she spent at Whittier College proved to be very prolific for her, and she graduated with a degree in Theatre Arts and Communications.

Since graduation, she has continued to professionally pursue dancing, acting, and singing in television, film, and theatre. She studied with renowned vocal coach Casheers for two years and began songwriting in 1997. She is now performing in a variety of venues in and around Los Angeles where she lives. In addition to recording with various groups of musicians and working on independent projects with others, she recently completed her first CD, comprised entirely of her own compositions and vocal performance. ReelGrace performs with her band who reflect her own amazing musical personality and includes her musical influences of traditional Rhythm and Blues, Soul, Funk, and Afro-Latin flavor.
