Tiffa awoke to elaborate costuming, futuristic installations and performance art in a geodesic dome, known as the home of El Circo, a performance troupe and production company. Nurtured by street theater, fashion shows, festivals, gallery openings and nightclubs, the El Circo family includes talented dancers, designers, visual artists, performers, musicians, djs, dome engineers, stagehands, lighting and sound technicians, pyrotechnicians and more.
A signature of El Circo's style was ONDA, where the dream awakens. Tiffa's coutoure label specialized in unique hand crafted creations such as multilayered, elaborate costumes for theatrical and circus performance to a stylistic and innovative approach for every day expression.
Her last project was Ernte, an in-house design studio based in Bali. Tiffa Novoa and Evan Sugerman were lead designers with DM Kishi providing the visual and interactive components. Evan Sugarman continues to oversee the designs for Ernte. They are supported by a small but dynamic staff of eight as the tailors, patternmakers and craftsmen.
Despite her premature passing in October of 2007, her visions live on not only in her fashions, but also through all of the people she inspired through her creations.
