Trace
was born and grew up in Northern Ireland and moved to Sheffield,
England to go to college at 19. She has an honours degree
in computers, after which she moved to London and attained
a postgraduate in Computers in Music, and a diploma in audio
engineering (ah the luxury of free education). She started
working for an independant record label in London doing
mostly promotion press, radio, tv and also booking tours
and occasionally going on them herself - at one point traveling
Germany both east and west with a crazy goth band.
Trace
won the green card in the lottery and moved to Los Angeles
at 29, where she got a job with another independant label,
this time in sunny Santa Monica, doing radio promotion.
She had a success story with a band she brought from her
London label but she soon became jaded with the way independant
labels were treated by the major radio stations. It was
time to work for herself.
Trace
moved to Oregon learnt to blow glass and started making
glass jewelry. She now lives in venice and works from her
home. She loves to be near the ocean and in charge of her
time. She is also a qualified and practicing massage therapist.
She takes yoga classes 3 times a week. She loves to travel
and tends to just take off on her own whenever she can.
She spent january and february this year in Central America
- Costa Rica, Guatemala and Belize and 3 years ago she spent
3 months traveling in East Africa - Malawi, Tanzania, Zanzibar
and Kenya.
Trace
occasionally gives massages but mostly she concentrates
on her jewelry. She is now in a number of designer stores
in Los Angeles including The Gallery of Functional Art in
Bergamot Station and Fred Segals in Santa Monica, Claudia
Milan in Venice, Crush in Malibu and Jennifer Kaufman at
the Beverly Centre.
Sharon
Stone is wearing several of Trace’s pieces in her
upcoming movie "Cold Creek Manor" to be released
in October 2003. Pamela
Anderson and Madonna's daughter also have her pieces.
