Roy

You are always
Houses of the holy
Dancing
Arms up in sky
Starfish hands reaching
Grabbing the best of us
When we feel ugly

Let me take you to the movies

And you are always the star

And there she is,
Perfect and in love,

Can I make your garden grow?

No metaphor justifies
How much you brought to life
In spirit and laughter
And it was always good to be around you

And it only goes to show
You know?

Brother, son, father, friend, lover

There’s an angel on my shoulder

And Henry has big shoes to walk in
On this earth
Waiting for him to bring
Laughter and solace
And memories
A legacy

Let me wander in your garden
And the seeds of love I sow

But if I forget to mention your smile,
Then everything would be incomplete

Are you dizzy when you’re stoned
Let the music be your master
You know?

Yeah, I remember,
when you played
Drums
Like waterfalls
Like breezes
like typhoons
like monsoon.

say there aint no use in crying
cuz it will only drive you mad

and now we are crazy
with knowing how much you had to offer
and how much you could give

let me take you to the movies
let me take to the show
let me be yours ever truly
let me make your garden grow

and there she is,
perfect and in love.

And when the rain comes
You are playing somewhere
And the thunder rains down,
We know you jamming
when the wind blows
the trees wave goodbye.
And the soil
Makes your garden grow.
