Tricia Vitug was born on Oct. 21, 1972, in Oahu, Hawaii. She found her inspiration at an early age in the form of her father's paintings and the lush beauty of the islands. These influences can still be seen in her work today in which she takes much pride and respect. With a strong drive and determination, Tricia began working professionally in graphic design at age sixteen, producing licensed t-shirt designs for the 1994 World Cup Soccer Tournament. In June of 2000 she graduated from the Otis College of Art and Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Digital Media. Upon graduation, she jumped into 3D Background production for video games. She has excelled in doing this for the last 5 years for companies including Sony Imageworks, Electronic Arts and Activision.
One of the primary tools of Tricia’s success has been her constant analysis of the production process in order to develop the most efficient techniques in combination with the traditional eye of a painter. She plays a versatile role working in each of the facets of 3D background production doing modeling, texturing, lighting and even level design for game play. Tricia's diverse background also includes photography and the development of original creative properties for games and film. In her spare time she is in the middle of developing a new game title which we look forward to seeing in the near future.
