Biography ::
The
multi-talented producer/remixer/singer/songwriter/DJ, Tyler
Stone, has spent the past decade pushing the envelope of house
music. Her unique fusion of sounds has enticed internationally
known artists such as Armand Van Helden, Everything But the
Girl, Sting and most recently Money B of Digital Underground
fame, to grace her studio.
On
the Money B project, Tyler teamed up with SF UK Garage DJ/producer
Shobhan to form Agua de Cocoa. Together they fuse R&B, D&B,
pure house, and pure groove, to come up with an undeniable dance
floor hit of Money Bs Wrapped Up, which out
on Cosmic Flux Musiq and was released on Revolution Magazines
October Compilation. Tyler puts her funky disco touch to Shanans
smooth R&B vocal along with SF DJ/producer J-Jay on Angel,
Music 101, Tweekin Records. On the more commercial tip,
Tyler lends her production and song writing talent to Illusive
Recording artist Rosalinda on her current album. This is pop
at its purest but like Tylers heart, stays close
to the dance floor. And finally, Tyler put her classic SF jazzy/house
touch to the ETBG song Temperamental. While it was
a hit with Ben (Watt) of EBTG, it remains to be released. If
youre lucky, you may get to hear it in a club somewhere
in SF.
Look
for her Deep Saturation Mix of Colorful Karmas For
the Music featuring Terra Deva soon to be released on
Records, and a remake of Brighter Days featuring
Tyler on vocals and the masterful flute playing of Richard Worth
(Groove Collective).
You
can hear a sample of Tylers silky and soulful vocals on
a Spacetime Continuum release, Closer, at Music
Blitz.com as well as on several upcoming releases from SF label
Cosmic Flux including Virtual Brazilia, Rain 4 Rent.
Even better, you can catch her live, singing, improvising, and
DJing at her Tuesday night residency Wanderlust
at the Rosewood Bar in San Francisco, which she does with DJ
Patrick Hinds. A Wanderlust album is forthcoming.
Tyler
received a degree in Jazz from the prestigious Cornish College
of the Arts, and then moved to San Francisco and started her
production career. She joined San Francisco producers DJ EFX
and DJ Digit in creating 3rd Floor Productions. Tyler acquired
production and engineering knowledge through the talent and
masterful guidance of DJ EFX. It was here that Tyler was able
to put her talent and studies to work by remixing such artists
as Sting, Crystal Waters, and even MTVs Beavis and Butthead.
From
there, Tyler went on to form her own Ms T Productions and did
mixes for such artists as NSYNC, Robin S, and had a top ten
Billboard Dance hit with her remix of Aethers Give
Away My Fear.
Right
from the beginning this diva was not going to do anything conventional.
I have very diverse and eclectic taste in what I listen
to so naturally, that comes out in my music. All of this
boils down to one very distinctive, polished, and tasty sound
that only the fabulous Ms. T could concoct.
